Are you hoping to establish a flourishing garden this year? If so, you're not alone. More people than ever are starting gardens. Some are waiting for organic products. Others are seeking ways to reduce the food budget. The following are ten of the most beneficial to grow in your garden and why you may want to.
1. Tomatoes: Perhaps the best option for long-term use is the tomato. Choose a variety, such as Roma or Italian Beefstake that are abundant. Use them in salads, make tomato sauce you can store them long term in jars. You can also make cooked tomato sauce and have it available all year. Tomatoes are fairly easy to grow, too.
2. Herbs: Growing some herbs in your garden (or into a small container near a window in the kitchen) is a fantastic way to cool off a meal. Choose herbs such as rosemary, coriander, parsley and basil. They can be dried for long term use.
3. Cucumbers: These are some of the easiest vegetables to grow. They have a little space, but kids love the sweet taste.
4. Peppers: Bell peppers are relatively easy to grow in warmer climates. If you want to grow chili peppers, you definitely need high temperatures. Still, be added to sauces and salsas both fresh and canned. You can dry chili peppers also, to use during the winter months as a way of warming.
5. Strawberries: lovers will enjoy these fresh berries cultivation. It may also grow in pots in a sunny spot. Which continue to produce crops of berries. May wish to consider including raspberries and blueberries if weather permits for them.
6. Squash: Summer squash, pumpkins are two favorites. It provides a good meal and last a long time after harvest when stored, in a cool, dry place. Add to soups, stews or serve as your own plate.
7. Beans: Beans are very easy to grow. After planting them, it only takes a couple of weeks before you will have strong growth and harvested near them. Will still occur as they are soft to the elimination of the grains. Choose from many varieties.
8. Corn: For those with a large area for growing vegetables, consider corn. Most people love the taste and can be a good producer. The only drawback is the long growth time and the amount of space you can take.
9. Watermelon: Summer is never complete without watermelon. You can grow in your garden without much work. That spreads widely so be sure that have sufficient space to allow long-range weapons!
10. Vegetable Salad: Greens of all types can do well in a garden. You can grow salad greens, cabbage leaves or any other choice. You can also consider broccoli and cauliflower, cabbage and red cabbage.
These ten points are just the beginning. There are so many wonderful vegetables and fruits to enjoy fresh garden.
