Not every type of hydroponics system lends itself well to homemade design. For systems that use drip or spray heads, has many articles expensive to buy before it can produce a properly working system. Usually ends up learning a lot from your first attempt if you decide to build your own system Drip or Aeroponics system. There is an easy and relatively inexpensive homemade hydroponics system I have found. It is the ebb and flow homemade.
For a reflux homemade hydroponic systems flow, you need two cheap plastic bags, an aquarium, an air pump, an aquarium water pump, a timer, a series of floods Drain and accessories and a piece of plastic pipe. If you are unsure of flooding and drainage accessories, go to Google, click on "images", and do a quick search for "flood and drain fittings.
First, Tote will be your nutrient reservoir. Choose a dark color to keep the light lamb outside the nutrient solution ... this will help prevent algae growth. The air pump must go to a couple of stones from air bubbles that remain in the reservoir of nutrients. The water pump goes here too. Your water pump should be able to move at least 100 liters / hour at a height of 3 feet. The pump should cost about $ 30.
Tote The other will be on top of deposition of nutrients and keep the plant containers. Container plants should be filled with expanded clay pellets or something equal, like chips or Lecca lava stone. Somewhere in the bottom of the container (in the form of plants) will drill two 3 / 4 inch holes and install the equipment for floods and drainage in one, and installation of overflow in the other. Kill it by running a small piece of tubing pump floodwater and installation of drainage (which is the shorter of the two).
All you have to do is plug the water pump on the timer, the timer set for its cycle of flooding and drainage, and fill the tank with ten gallons of nutrient solution. Flood your plant container of a 1 / 2 hour 4 times a day, while the lights are on.
When the pump starts at the top container filled with water (but never higher than the overflow). It takes a while for the clay granules to really absorb the nutrient solution. When the pump starts, the nutrient solution will drain down the short installation, leaving the roots and clay pellets wet with nutrient solution.
The flood and drain system is the homemade hydroponics system you use most frequency. The function of the system is simple. The results are always good. The system is so easy to put together.
Before you start ... your systme is only one piece of the puzzle of indoor gardening. You should have control over the environment is placed in your garden, and this environment should be pleasing plants. In addition, you will have a better chance of success once you learn the exact requirements of nutrients (and therefore the exact feeding) of its plants in each stage of development. To meet these needs for food, you must learn to properly maintain nutrient sollution in a reservoir. Learn these things and is sure to have a hydro-Greenthumb.

LED xmas lights are working as an outgrowth of light for hydroponics?
I have an extra game, so I'm thinking only grouping in partnership and hanging over my lettuce (seedlings have not emerged yet, just started yesterday). Does this work? Currently only grow my light is a regular CFL bulb light.
I doubt it will work at all. I guess it's better than nothing. You can try and see what happens.
