Is it legal / illegal sale of hydroponics and grow lights?

I have come to possetion of some equipment which I am sure something better, but I'm sure if I should sell it or ditch. i dont want to get into trouble, but I do not know where I stand with the law?

It's legal, people use the grow lights and hydroponics to grow vegetables legitimate.
