hydroponics nutrients for lettuce

HYDROPONICS! NUTRIENT!?
i cannot to anything and I have to use miracle grow my plants to grow lettuce for a science project and miracle grow, grow the plants to reach adulthood they die? If it does everything I need!
Miracle Gro sounds pretty good, but something that is free too can be decomposed leaves (mulch) dug in his garden. It adds many beneficial nutrients to the soil. Good luck on your project.
